Hello Flowers, I have a series on my blog called, College Stories. They are mini stories that I would like to tell about my university experience. I have missed my friends and the atmosphere of being on campus! I make a post at least once each week.
During the summer time, I worked and studied on campus. Usually me and my fellow student worker friend would take walks around campus. One of our favorite things to do was to go to Starbucks and the snack store. We would get cereal and then we would go outside and feed the fish in the lake. The lake is an artificial lake with many fish in it. We would stand on the pier, grab a handful of cereal and throw it to the fish below. There were different types of fish. Most of them were gray fish. The others were goldfish, and one white and red fish. Sometimes we would see other creatures in the lake, once we saw a turtle. The fish would gather around and fight for the cereal. They would wiggle around and move up to the water surface. Some would jump up at the cereal. We would try to throw on opposite ends so the fish would move around the area. When we got to the end of the cereal container, we would spread the crumbs around the lake and watch the fish fight for the crumbs. When the cereal was all eaten the fish gradually went back below the surface. My work friend and I would continue our walk back to work, enjoying our Starbucks, and carrying our snacks.
Feeding the fish was one of my favorite things to do on work breaks.
