Halloween Bash

This October, I watched 31 days of Halloween TV shows, Horror and/or Thriller Movies.

This Halloween I did not feel like watching anything horror or gore. I mostly watched light spooky tv shows and movies. I was feeling more of the cute halloween stuff this year.

October 1:

Gravity Falls: Season 1, Episode 12 “Summerween”

The people of Gravity Falls love Halloween so much that they also celebrate it in Summer.

Regular Show: Season 8, Episode 19 “Terror Tales of the Park VI”

The Park crew encounter a black hole whilst telling stories on Halloween.

Benson tries to spice up the park’s annual Halloween party by renting a wish-making machine.

The ponies are celebrating Nightmare Night when Luna appears in Ponyville. She is determined to change her frightening image.

October 4:

Regular Show: Season 6, Episode 4 “Terror Tales of the Park IV”

The park workers tell scary stories to keep Muscle Man awake while driving to visit his mother on Halloween.

October 5:

The group makes a bet over who can tell the scariest story at their Halloween party.

Monica and Chandler have a costume party.

My Little Pony: Season 4, Episode 7 “Bats!”

Applejack and her friends try to get rid of Vampire Fruit Bats on Sweet Apple Acres.

My Little Pony: Season 5 Episode 13 “Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?”

Princess Luna and the Mane 6 track down a magical force that threatens to turn every pony’s dreams into nightmares.

October 8:

Regular Show: Season 3, Episode 4 “Terror Tales of the Park”

The group tell each other scary stories.

October 9:

Carrie (1976)- Carrie White is a shy teenage girl who has the power of telekinesis. She is made fun of at school and she lives with her fanatically religious mother Margaret.

October 10:

The Addams Family (1991 film)– Gomez continues to look for his brother Fester who disappeared 25 years ago. A con artist, Abigail has a foster son, Gordon who resembles Fester. Gordon poses as Fester to help find the Addams vault.

October 11:

Scream (1996)- A high school student in the fictional town of Woodsboro, California, becomes the target of a mysterious killer in a Halloween costume known as Ghostface.

October 12:

Scream 2 (1997)- The plot takes place two years after the first film and again follows the character of Sidney Prescott, and other Woodsboro survivors, at the fictional Windsor College in Ohio, who becomes the target of a copycat killer using the guise of Ghostface.

October 13:

Twitches (2005)- Twin witches (Twitches) reunite on their 21st birthday. They discover that their powers are even stronger when they team up.

October 14:

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)–  Jack Skellington, the King of “Halloween Town” stumbles through a portal to “Christmas Town” and becomes obsessed with celebrating the holiday.

October 15:

Addams Family Values (1993 film)– Debbie Jellinsky, is a serial killer who marries Uncle Fester intending to murder him for his inheritance, while teenagers Wednesday and Pugsley are sent to summer camp. 

October 16:

Scream 3 (2000)- The film takes place three years after the previous film and follows Sidney Prescott, who has gone into self-imposed isolation following the events of the previous two films but is drawn to Hollywood after a new Ghostface begins killing the cast of the film within a film Stab 3.

October 17:

Scream 4 (2011)- The film takes place on the fourteenth anniversary of the original Woodsboro murders and involves Sidney Prescott returning to the town after ten years, where Ghostface once again begins killing students from Woodsboro High. *Scream 5 (2022)

October 18:

Twitches Too (2007)- Alex and Camryn receive clues that their father is alive in the Shadowlands.

October 19:

Hulu Original, Into the Dark: They Come Knocking (2019)– After losing his wife to cancer, a father takes his two daughters on a road trip, and they find themselves in the crosshairs of terrifying supernatural entities.

October 20:

Hulu Original, Into the Dark: Pooka! (2018)- Pooka is a toy and mascot. An out-of-work actor, Wilson goes in for an audition that turns out to be for a mascot promoting a new kid’s toy for the holiday season.

October 21:

Scooby-Doo The Movie  (2002)– The Mystery Incorporated, a group of four young adults and a dog who solve mysteries, reunite after a two-year disbandment, to investigate a mystery on a popular horror resort.

October 22:

Bewitched (2005)- An out of work actor discovers, during the remake of Bewitched, that his co star is an actual witch.

October 23:

Halloweentown (1998)- Gwen’s mother Agatha, “Aggie” shows up for her annual Halloween visit. Marnie, Dylan, and Sophie are happy to see Aggie than Gwen is, as Aggie openly encourages the children to get more involved in Halloween. Aggie and Gwen are secretly witches.

October 24:

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)– The Mystery Incorporated, stumble into another supernatural mystery. They fight various monsters that are tormenting their town while a television journalist Heather Jasper-Howe, is out to discredit their investigations.

October 25:

Hotel Transylvania (2012)– Count Dracula, is the owner of a hotel called Hotel Transylvania where the world’s monsters can take a rest from human civilization. Dracula invites some of the most famous monsters to celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter Mavis.

October 26:

Edward Scissorhands (1990)–  An artificial man named Edward, is an unfinished creation who has scissor blades instead of hands. The young man is taken in by a suburban family and falls in love with their teenage daughter Kim.

October 27:

You’re Next (2011)– The Davisons, an estranged upper-class family attempt to mend their broken family ties. Aubrey and Paul Davison decide to celebrate their wedding anniversary by inviting their four children and their children’s significant others to their weekend estate.

October 28:

HalloweenTown II: Kalabar’s Revenge (2001)– Marnie spends two years with her grandmother Aggie. While hosting a mortal neighborhood Halloween party at their house, Marnie tries to impress a cute new boy, Kal, by showing him Aggie’s magically-hidden room. Soon Aggie notices unwelcome magical symptoms. She and Marnie travel to Halloweentown to investigate and to fix the problem before the portal between Halloweentown and the mortal world, open only on Halloween, closes at midnight.

October 29:

Hey Arnold!: Season 2, Episode 11 “Arnold’s Halloween”

Arnold and his friend play a prank that aliens are invading the town.

October 30:

Teen Titans Go!: Season 4 Episode 1 “Shrimps and Prime Rib/Halloween vs Christmas”

The Titans try to prevent Santa from taking over Halloween.

October 31:

Practical Magic (1998)– Sally and Gillian Owens, are witches. They were raised by their aunts after their parents’ death and taught practical magic. Being a member of the Owens family carries a curse: The men they fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death. As adults, Sally and Gillian use all of their powers to fight the family curse.
