College Story Pt 2: What Friends Are For

Hello Flowers, last year I started a series on my blog called, College Stories. They are mini stories about my university experience. This year is College Stories Pt 2. I make a post every Thursday and Sunday.

My Besties

*names have been changed

I have a steady friend group that I love so much! I have been friends with my besties since grade school. I have 3 besties from childhood that I still talk to and hang out with.

Gem has been my friend for about a decade. We have a special bond. We have been room mates multiple times throughout university and we always eat dinner together at least once a month. I am thankful for everything she has done for me. We have shared so many life moments together, we consider ourselves sisters.

Crystal has been my friend for about a decade. We saw each other on campus sometimes but mostly hung out in the cafeteria. We do not get to see each other as often as we would like. We both have hectic work schedules. We usually talk/text over the phone and celebrate each others birthday.

Rose has been my friend since grade school. We have grown up together. We have different friend groups most of the time. It is ok. We did not go to university together, so we saw each other outside of school events. We still talk/text every now and then. We also celebrate each others birthdays and sometimes hang out at cafes.

During university, I valued these friendships. My friends helped me through many difficult times during my studies. Every year, they helped me grow and supported me through my struggles. I appreciate my friends. My friends mean so much to me. They are the reason I am still here. I am grateful for the roles they play in my life. I can not wait for more adventures with each of them.

Friendship is magic,
